Christmas in Uppingham Late Night Shopping 2022 has been declared an outstanding success with almost 2000 people visiting the town to enjoy the family experiences on offer.
Organised by a new team of volunteers and local businesses, supported by Uppingham First, Uppingham Town Council and Rutland County Council, the event is likely to be judged the best family night out in the town in 2022.
Thanking the community for supporting the event Uppingham First Secretary and Town Councillor Ron Simpson BEM said, “The new team of volunteers only had four months to organise this year’s event. They deserve, and are receiving, full praise for what they have achieved. It was rewarding to see the local community turn out in force to enjoy themselves on a cold and misty evening. Well done everyone involved.
