Geoff Thompson (pictured), Chair of the Uppingham Surgery Patient Participation Group, advises that Rutland Health Primary Care Network has now vaccinated over 50% of the 75 to 79 age group (cohort 3) and will start inviting patients in cohort 4 (all over 70 and those with a government shielding letter) from the first week of February, subject to vaccine delivery. Again the message is clear – do not contact your GP practice, they will contact you. Note that you may be contacted through a central automated system and asked to go to the Leicester Peepul centre or one of the hospitals instead of the vaccination centre in Oakham.
