Community Emergency Committee Launches Events Programme to Tackle Isolation and Mental Health Issues Created by Lockdown

Coordinators leading the Uppingham community response to the Covid-19 lockdown have acknowledged the mental health threat posed by the sustained Covid -19 lockdown and the positive contribution to the issue that might be made by the creative arts. They have joined with community partners to launch what is intended to be a number of entertainment .events intended to lift the spirits of residents obliged to stay at home.

The Uppingham Community Emergency Plan team is to collaborate with Uppingham Neighbourhood Forum, local good neighbour scheme UppWatch, Community Partnership Uppingham First and local Residents Associations, to mount a series of online events led by local artists and musicians.

First event is on February 14th Valentines Night, and features live music from local band, The Roamantics (pictured). Studio Manager will be Danny Hern of Rocky Road Music.
