Uppingham Neighbourhood Forum is supporting residents’ efforts to create a new Residents Association on The Elms, the latest new housing development in the town.
A newsletter to be circulated to all households on The Elms invites interested householders to join a local Zoom meeting hosted by the Forum with a view to adopting a simple constitution and forming an inaugural committee.
Commenting on the initiative, Forum Coordinator Ron Simpson BEM said, “Given the extensive housing development planned for the Leicester Road area, it will be important for this group of residents to be well represented in the democratic community structures of the town. The Forum Executive looks forward to helping the new Association get established. We will do all in our power to assist”.
