Dr Sarah Furness PhD, Lord Lieutenant of Rutland and Richard Cole, High Sheriff of Rutland were principal guests at an American Irish evening charity event organised by the Rotary Club of Uppingham held in The Falcon Hotel and featuring popular Irish music group One Too Many.
A welcome drinks reception was hosted by the Sycamore Harley-Davidson team in their award winning showroom with company group Chair Sam Hamblin revealing that the Uppingham team had recently been awarded brand recognition as providing the best customer service in Europe. A not insignificant achievement!
With event guests thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to view both the bikes and the brand merchandise, it was generally agreed that not many had previously appreciated the brand’s contribution to the local economy and the county’s tourism offer: Surely a candidate for a King’s Industry Award!
