The walk covers a gentle 5 miles of
pathway and minor roads around the
beautiful Eyebrook Reservoir initially
through a limited access Nature Reserve.
The reservoir is a major trout
fishery, an important habitat for water
birds of all types and has a historic
connection to the Dambusters who
practised over its surface prior to the
Dams Raid in 1943.
The walk will start between 1000 and
1200 on 28 July and should complete
by 1400.
The route lies clockwise round the
Eyebrook Reservoir starting from the
lay-by on the side of the reservoir at
the foot of the hill below Stoke Dry
GR853963.
This is a rare opportunity for walkers
to enjoy the Eyebrook reservoir and its environment.
