Window of Hope

Richard Cole, High Sheriff of Rutland is pictured, centre, visiting the market place pop up shop ‘Window of Hope’ created by community partnership Uppingham First (UF). He is accompanied by UF director and book shop proprietor Lucy Stephenson, left, and Uppingham Deputy Town Mayor Liz Clarke.

The Window of Hope was created to symbolise the optimistic post brexit future envisaged for the town centre in 2021. Courtesy of shop proprietor’s The Ashdale Pharmacy group, the window demonstrates collaboration between the pupils and staff of Uppingham School, the town’s voluntary sector and a number of new and established local artisans and traders.

The shop was created with support from KK Windows, ClockedIn and local consultancy RMJS Associates.
