Following the announcement of his intended retirement in 2024, long serving Uppingham Postmaster Robin Bromiley is working with the local community to find his successor. A 13 page response to the options public consultation of the Rutland Local Plan has now been submitted to Rutland County Council by CPRE Rutland, the countryside charity. Copies of the response have also been posted on a number of parish and community websites to facilitate public access to the wide range of community concerns

The Uppingham Webcam has been temporarily closed to enable major modifications to its operation. The camera displays everyday life in the marketplace of a Rutland market with its famous Falcon Hotel in the background. A reopening date will be announced as soon as possible.
