The Chair of the Rutland Biz Club and Uppingham Town Councillor Mark Shaw has been appointed Chair of the award winning community partnership Uppingham First.
Mark is the proprietor of local IT company ClockedIn and Vice Chair of the Uppingham Neighbourhood Forum.
Handing over the leadership reigns to Mark, retiring Chair Alderman Edward Baines thanked board members for their support over the years and indicated that he thought Mark, with his considerable community and business engagement, was the right person to take the partnership forward.
Recognising the now considerable range of activities in which the partnership is involved and the need to forward plan, directors also approved the creation of the new board member role of Executive Director. Current Uppingham First Secretary Ron Simpson BEM has been appointed to the position.
