The Uppingham First team are to visit the suppliers of a new generation of electric minibuses with a view to setting up a new more environmentally friendly Hopper service in 2023.
The visit is the brain child of Uppingham First director and electric car owner Mark Shaw.
Following the visit a report will be will be prepared for the partnership’s board of directors. This will include a funding strategy to secure and operate such a vehicle.
Community consultation on the future of the Hopper is scheduled for debate at the next meeting of the Uppingham Neighbourhood Forum to be held on Thursday January 20th at 7.30pm in The Falcon Hotel. All are welcome.
