Pictured is Rutland High Sheriff Margaret Miles who recently spent an hour on the Uppingham Hopper learning the route and talking to regular passengers.
Commenting upon her experience the High Sheriff said, “What a magnificent service to the community. The Hopper is social, clean, safe, punctual …..and clearly gets lots of happy people from A to B around Uppingham. Very well done to all the hard working volunteers, those who organise the rotas, maintain the bus and raise the relevant funds. All these efforts really do ‘make a difference’ to the community”.
