Community Partnership Uppingham First is to work with countryside charity CPRE Rutland to produce a Community Energy Vision publication for the town. The publication will be produced following three community workshops in August.
The three linked and consecutive Rutland CPRE Future Energy Workshops will be held at The Falcon Hotel (LE15 9PY) as follows:-
- Tuesday August 9th 7pm to 9pm
- Tuesday August 16th 7pm to 9pm
- Tuesday August 23rd 7pm to 9pm
Invitees include a number of the county’s/town’s proactive community, business and statutory sector organisations, a number of experts from the field of sustainable energy, CPRE representatives and a number of residents who have expressed interest in being involved. Outputs of the project will include the production of a Community Energy Vision publication and artist impressions of the visual impact of proposed solutions. Wherever possible, invites will attend all three workshops. This project is sponsored by CPRE National Office.
Invites are now asked to confirm by e-mail (to secretary@uppinghamfirst.co.uk) their availability for the above dates following which they will be forwarded more details and joining instructions. A few spaces remain at the workshops for those who have not yet expressed interest. The maximum number of participants is limited to 20 to ensure opportunity for effective participation.
