Uppingham First is to work with CPRE the countryside charity on a number of rural housing and climate action projects in 2025.
The move is in support of a number of grant bids being made by the charity and follows the distribution by CPRE of a new Rural Housing Design Guide and a grant aided Renewable Energy Rooftop Solar Survey to be undertaken in Uppingham if the funding is approved.
Uppingham First’s experience in community engagement is to be used to progress several work programme components of the new Rutland and Stamford Countryside Charity (which serves as the local branch of CPRE) including a rural transport initiative aimed at introducing to urban dwellers the Countryside Next Door.
