altBack in 2016 many Rutland people participated in meetings about re-organising health services for Rutland.

Many questions were raised but nothing was heard further until a new document called "Next Steps" was published in August 2018 and will be addressed Rutland on Monday 19th November 2018.

Unfortunately this has coincided with refusal by the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) to consult the public on the closure of a substantial part of Leicester General Hospital after being asked to do so by the three local authority scrutiny committees last month.

This decision has grave implications for Rutland residents and, following letters written to the local newspapers, residents were urged to get involved in these plans and attend this meeting to have their views heard.

At the meeting Health authorities faced severe criticism of their failure to properly consult Rutlanders and explore their future aspirations.
