Network of Defibrillators to be installed in Uppingham PDF Print E-mail

Following a request from Uppingham Neighbourhood Forum, the Uppingham First Community Partnership is to consider installing a  network of heart defibrillator machines in Uppingham.

The proposal  is just one of a number of commmunity safety initiatives detailed in the Partnership's draft 2010 work programme to be considered by Directors at their annual meeting to be held on May 13th 2010.

The defibrillators would be mounted at  a number of agreed locations around the town and training in their use given to interested volunteers.

New Business Club to Launch in Uppingham PDF Print E-mail

Business for Breakfast, a business club whose key aim is to help its members signifcantly grow their business through relationship marketing and the passing of qualified and quality referrals, is to launch in Uppingham on Tuesday May 18th 2010. The club will meet once a fortnight in the Falcon Hotel between 6.45am and 8.30am.

Creative Enterprise Award Goes to Rutland Telecom PDF Print E-mail

Rutland Telecom has won the Creative Enterprise Award for 2010 at the prestigious Mercury Business Awards held in the Greetham Valley Hotel. Runner up was Uppingham business 'Babybond'.

Commenting on the success of local businesses in the event  Ron Simpson, Chair of the Uppingham Business Forum and President of the Leicestershire and Rutland Chartered Management Institute said, " Once again Uppingham businesses are punching above their weight  and showcasing the town as a source of enterprise and innovation. Both these high street companies now have a significant national profile and are exemplars in their fields. They deserve the congratulations of us all."
